Larry Brinkin, who worked at the Human Rights Commission for the City of San Francisco for 22 years and was a prominent homosexual rights activist for more than 40 years, pleaded guilty to felony child pornography possession last week.

Brinkin is expected to serve six months in jail, five years of probation, and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life when he is sentenced on Mar. 5. But he likely will get to keep his city pension because possessing and viewing child porn apparently is not considered a crime of “moral turpitude” under San Francisco’s retirement/pension rules.

According to police, as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle and SF Weekly, Brinkin had photographic images of children between the ages of 1 and 3 who were being sodomized and forced to perform oral sex on adult men.

Also, in e-mails attributed to Brinkin using the account “Zack3737@aol.com,” he praised interracial adult-child sex saying, in one message, “I loved especially the [N-word] 2 year old getting nailed. Hope you’ll continue so I can see what the little blond bitch is going to get. White Power! White Supremacy! White D— Rules!”

Brinkin, who is “married” to partner Wood Massi and has a son with two mothers, retired from the city’s Human Rights Commission in 2010, when he was 64 years old. At the time and with the support of city official Bevan Dufty, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, in honor of Brinkin’s work over the years to combat discrimination, passed a resolution declaring the first seven days of February 2010 “Larry Brinkin Week.”

While on the Human Rights Commission, Brinkin had worked as a compliance officer, responsible for helping to ensure non-discrimination against employees. He had been instrumental, back in 1982, in implementing San Francisco’s Equal Benefits Ordinance, which required employers to provide equal coverage for “domestic partners.” Further, Brinkin has been a long-time advocate for gay “marriage.”

The archived pages of SF Pride say of Brinkin, “Larry Brinkin has been an activist in San Francisco for over 35 years, co-founding Bay Area Gay Liberation, the Lesbian/Gay Labor Alliance, and the Gay & Lesbian Alternative Dispute Resolution Service. He was a pioneer in the struggle for domestic partner benefits and currently is the manager of the LGBT&HIV Division of the SF Human Rights Commission. He played a major role in recent years in the struggle for transgender rights.”

Brinkin was first arrested in the child pornography investigation in June 2012. According to the news reports, in early 2012 America Online (AOL) had contacted authorities after discovering e-mails and child pornographic images in one of the company’s subscriber accounts.

The Los Angeles Police Department, then put in charge of the case, traced the IP address of the e-mail account Zack3737@aol.com to Larry Brinkin. Police then confirmed that Brinkin had paid for the e-mail service with his credit card.

Gay rights icon Larry Brinkin has been arrested on charges of child pornography, according to San Francisco police.

Brinkin, 66, best known for fighting for equal rights on behalf of the LGBT community, was booked into San Francisco County Jail on Friday night. He posted bail and was released Saturday, SF Weekly reports.

The San Francisco Police Department seized computers, videos, VHS tapes and a floppy disc from Brinkin and his husband’s home, according to a search warrant obtained by SF Weekly.

Police say Brinkin had exchanged emails that contained pornographic photographs involving children as young as 1-year-old being sodomized or performing oral sex on adult men, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The emails also contain graphic sexual and racist commentary, including, “I loved especially the n—er 2 year old getting nailed,” as well as a rant about white supremacy.

The disturbing messages were traced to Brinkin’s IP address, and his name and credit card information are registered with the AOL account, identified as zack3737@aol.com, according to police.

Following reports that someone was trying to set-up WeAreChange’s Luke Rudkowski and OathKeepers’ Stewart Rhodes, as well as an eerie e-mail from a group calling themselves “Political Hackerz Squad” claiming that it was trying to set-up dozens of alternative media figures with child porn (and claiming credit for attacks on Rudkowski/Rhodes), Truthstream Media was alerted that email attachments are being sent to prominent people posing as “Melissa Melton” and appearing to request an interview before attaching alleged child porn sent out by unknown provocateurs. These agents declared that they were “soldiers in a digital war”; in the case of Truthstream, they used an e-mail that doesn’t belong to our site but appears to as it used Melissa’s name. Please know that we are under attack; we need your prayers and support.

PLEASE NOTE that any e-mail attachments claiming to be from Truthstream Media are fraudulent and may be part of an attempt to discredit or set-up us or others in the alternative media. PLEASE DO NOT open any attachments as they are not communications from our website. It is not from us.

Luke Rudkowski’s hotel broken into computer compromised possible framing

We think its best that we make this public for the safety of Luke Rudkowski during his travels abroad. Other important things to note is that the wifi that Luke’s computer was on was established a day before the hack with a pass code that only he and the other speakers he mentioned had access to, that was established by them and no one else. Which makes the case for a remote hack very unlikely. Other computers were also on the scene and active but Luke’s was the only one visible targeted.

Also this looks like an unprofessional job due to leaving the obvious tracks of intrusion but from the looks of the scripts that were ran they were definitely not amateurs.

Because of multiple attempts to set up Luke in his career we think its best to make this situation public.

This situation is extremely weird surrounding the circumstances and that’s why we decided to go public with it.

OTTAWA (Reuters) – The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s office quickly distanced themselves from former Harper aide Tom Flanagan on Wednesday after the political commentator said viewing child pornography did not harm others.

Flanagan was a campaign manager and chief of staff for Harper or the Conservative Party at various times before the Conservatives took power in 2006, and has long been a commentator for CBC.

At a seminar at Alberta’s University of Lethbridge on Wednesday, he took issue with the Conservative “jihad” on child pornography.

The CBC dumped him as a political commentator and Harper spokesman Andrew MacDougall said his remarks were repugnant and did not reflect the Conservative government’s view.

“…you know a lot of people on my side of the spectrum, a certain side of the spectrum, are bent on kind of a jihad against pornography and child pornography in particular, and I certainly have no sympathy for child molesters, but I do have some grave doubts about putting people in jail because of their taste in pictures,” Flanagan, a political scientist at the University of Calgary, told the seminar on Wednesday night.

He said there was a real issue as “to what extent we put people in jail for doing something in which they do not harm another person.”

Flanagan apologized, but not before the CBC fired him and Alberta’s conservative Wildrose Party, for which he was campaign manager last year, said he would have no future role.

CBC News Editor-in-Chief Jennifer McGuire said: “While we support and encourage free speech across the country and a diverse range of voices, we believe Mr. Flanagan’s comments to have crossed the line and impacted his credibility as a commentator for us.”

MacDougall tweeted: “Tom Flanagan’s comments on child pornography are repugnant, ignorant, and appalling.”

Anthony Sturman, 59, sent six pages containing indecent material to a printer at the UK headquarters of Shell UK, where he had worked for 15 years.

Sturman, described as a ‘senior manager’ at the oil giant, was viewing child pornography at his country home in Kent when he pressed the print button.

His PC was linked to his work system, so the images were produced at his office.

Seven of the images printed were categorised at level four, the second highest level of abuse.

A colleague discovered the images when she unclogged a jammed printer on the 18th floor at the Shell Centre in Waterloo.

Across six pieces of paper, there were 42 indecent images, all in thumbnail size, Inner London Crown Court heard.

Darren Ponds, prosecuting, said Ruth Elliott, a colleague at Shell, discovered the images when she dealt with a jammed printer on June 28 last year.

“A jam had occurred and when that jam was fixed the backed up items began to print.

“A number of pages of indecent images of children were printed.”

Examination of the data from the printer revealed the items had come from Sturman’s computer and he was arrested two days later.

Yogain Chandarana, defending, said Sturman had destroyed the life he had built for himself.

“He has actively sought treatment for himself since his arrest 18 months ago,” he said.

“He has laid out his soul in front of probation officers,” he said.

“Not only does he understand his offending behaviour, but he’s started getting help for himself.

“He admits though there are many areas that he had to work on.

“He has caused a complete destruction of the life he had built, a destruction of his life because of his behaviour.”

“Clearly though, he did not intend to produce these images on a work printer.”

Judge Lindsay Burns sentenced Sturman to eight months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered him to take part in a sex offenders programme.

“You do not pose any significant risk, and the chance of you re-offending are at the lowest level,” he said.

“The level of intention in this case, sets this apart from other, far more serious cases.

“I have to save that the view you have taken, rather unhappily, is rare in the courts, with other offenders like you.

“You have shown considerable remorse and understanding for what you have done.’

Sturman, of Faversham, Kent, admitted one count of producing indecent images of children.

He will also have to sign onto the sex offenders register.

Blackburn Calls For Investigation Of TSA Hiring

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A scathing new report from Tennessee Congressman Marsha Blackburn says the crimes of TSA officers only a symptom of the problem.

On Monday, Blackburn released a report titled “Not on my Watch”: 50 Failures of TSA’s Transportation Security Officers”. The report lists 50 crimes committed by TSA agents, including two from Nashville International Airport.

Blackburn said that more needs to be done to keep bad apples out of the airport screening process.

“TSA needs to immediately remove themselves from the human resource business. This report details highly disturbing cases where pedophiles and child pornographers wearing federal law enforcement uniforms are not only patting down unsuspecting travelers, but in many cases stealing valuables from their bags. Enough is enough. It’s time for Congress to step in and demand accountability from Administrator Pistole,” said Blackburn.

Also as part of the report she points out that TSA employees act as law enforcement officers, but have little training, and aren’t screened as thoroughly as local police departments. She says the solution is to get the TSA out of law enforcement back to what they were originally set out to do.

Two local TSA employees were mentioned in the report one of them, accused statutory rapist Clifton Lyles, who worked at Nashville International Airport. Another local TSA employee was arrested for cooking meth.
