Vice President Joe Biden warned Wednesday that the upcoming Senate vote was only the beginning of their gun control fight, a fight that concerns many who believe it may actually be aimed at eventually disarming millions of law-abiding citizens.

The warning, made during a conference call organized by gun-grabbing, globalist-backed Mayors Against Illegal Guns, is a stark reminder that, although the assault weapons ban has so far failed, the fight for the 2nd Amendment is far from over.

“That doesn’t mean this is the end of the process. This is the beginning of the process,” Biden was quoted as saying in a report by the Associated Press.

Despite overwhelming anger towards the planned banning of hundreds of weapons and the outright attack on guns in general, Biden went on to claim that they are simply following what the American people want.

“The American people are way ahead of their political leaders and we, the president and I and the mayors, intend to stay current with the American people.”

“We believe that weapons of war have no place on our streets,” Biden said.

Sadly, this tactic is being used throughout the corporate media with dozens of cable news pundits claiming over and over again that Americans want gun control, while using rigged polls taken by corporate companies to back their alarmist propaganda.

Meanwhile, President Obama appeared alongside mothers of gun victims on Thursday to once again use the horrific death of children as a backdrop to push the gun control agenda.

Described as an, “impassioned plea,” by the New York Times, Obama took to the podium, complete with perfectly angled sad mothers in the background who had just shared stories about their dead children, to demand a continued push for gun control, essentially indicating that if you support the mothers behind him then you will support the numerous gun control laws currently being put forward in Congress.

“Less than 100 days ago that happened, and the entire country was shocked and the entire country pledged we would do something about it and this time would be different,” Obama said.

“Shame on us if we’ve forgotten. I haven’t forgotten those kids. Shame on us if we’ve forgotten.”

“The notion that two months or three months after something as horrific as what happened in Newtown happens and we’ve moved on to other things?” “That’s not who we are. That’s not who we are. And I want to make sure every American is listening today.”

“We need everybody to remember how we felt 100 days ago and make sure that what we said at that time wasn’t just a bunch of platitudes, that we meant it.”

Obama then went on to use numerous fallacies in a psychological manipulation attempt, including the use of rigged statistics to put forth the idea that only a few crazies stand against his political agenda.

Obama to follow in footsteps of Hitler, Stalin with ‘executive order’ disarmament of the American people

(NaturalNews) It’s official. President Obama is going to march America down the dark halls of history by following in the footsteps of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse Tung and all the other gun-grabbing madmen who have exploited fear to achieve the total concentration of power in the hands of dictatorial government.

America is headed into civil war.

Vice President Joe Biden said today that disarming the American people and setting them up for government genocide is “acting responsibly.”

As published today in the Weekly Standard:

“The president is going to act,” said Biden, giving some comments to the press before a meeting with victims of gun violence. “There are executives orders, there’s executive action that can be taken. We haven’t decided what that is yet. But we’re compiling it all with the help of the attorney general and the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action that we believe is required.” Biden said that this is a moral issue and that “it’s critically important that we act.”

Biden talked also about taking responsible action. “As the president said, if you’re actions result in only saving one life, they’re worth taking. But I’m convinced we can affect the well-being of millions of Americans and take thousands of people out of harm’s way if we act responsibly.”

Biden is the guy who once promised, “Obama’s not getting my Beretta [shotgun].” Obama also made a campaign promise that he would never come after your guns. Now they’re both charging forward with a plot to completely disarm all the legal gun owners across America.

This is the moment when America either falls to tyrants or rises to resist it.

Matt Drudge sees what’s coming. DrudgeReport.com posted this headline earlier this morning, complete with pictures of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin:

Gun grabbers actually want your guns so they can murder you with them

The real agenda of gun grabbers has now become crystal clear: They want to kill gun owners and anyone who doesn’t bow down to the Hitlerian madness of the Obama administration.

Last night on the Piers Morgan show on CNN, guests openly threatened Alex Jones’ children with being killed, and then one guest openly suggested that Piers Morgan shoot Alex Jones with an AR-15 — followed by laughter from the other guests on the show. It is a felony crime to threaten to murder a person, yet none of these guests who appeared on Piers Morgan have been arrested.

That astonishing video is available here:

This is nothing short of a death threat aired on national television. This is what the gun grabbers really want: to TAKE your guns so they can SHOOT you with them.

It’s all coming out. This is their true agenda: mass murder and / or genocide. Those who support gun disarmament of the American people are supporting mass murder: Michael Moore, Piers Morgan, Biden, Obama, Cuomo… they are all proponents of mass murder. They are the very same kind of people who once supported Hitler and Stalin, and now they’re creating a new Hitler in Barack Obama, the would-be dictator who is thrusting America straight into a new civil war.

Vice President Joseph R. Biden, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other gun control advocates insisted Wednesday that both momentum and public opinion are on their side, but recent polling shows Americans turning against stricter laws as more time elapses since the Newtown shootings.

Mr. Biden rallied gun control advocates ahead of a “day of action” organized by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, telling supporters that bans on so-called assault weapons and high-capacity magazines are “just the beginning.”

“Let me say this as clearly as I can: this is just the beginning,” he said on a conference call organized by the group, which is co-chaired by New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. “We believe that weapons of war have no place on our streets. That’s the message that retired admirals and generals have spoken to us about. The comment one of them used was if you want to learn how to use a semiautomatic weapon, join the United States military. But these are weapons of war.”

President Obama is also scheduled to host mothers, victims of gun violence, law enforcement officials and others at an event at the White House on Thursday, and Brina Milikowski of MAIG said the group has more than 140 events planned in at least 29 states.

“The most important thing we can do in the lead-up to the vote in Congress in a couple weeks is to make our voices heard,” Ms. Milikowski said. “We know that Congress is paying attention — not just to the polls and to the news, but also to grass-roots events and mobile initiatives showing overwhelming support among Americans for common-sense public safety measures.”

But despite the proclamations, White House spokesman Josh Earnest struck a much more cautious tone Wednesday, saying the mere fact that the Senate will be voting on an assault weapons ban is a step in the right direction.

“I think because of all the talk of the president and because of his aggressive advocacy of this issue, there will be a vote in the United States Senate on whether or not military-style assault weapons will be banned from the streets of this country,” Mr. Earnest said. “I think that is — that represents progress.”

Though surveys show that a sizable majority of Americans continue to support individual measures like universal background checks, a new CBS News poll shows that only 47 percent of Americans support stricter gun control laws, compared to a high of 57 percent right after the December shootings in Connecticut. Further, a CNN poll from last week showed 43 percent of Americans support “major restrictions” or a complete ban on guns — down from 52 percent in December.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Biden’s gregarious, gaffe-laden diplomacy doesn’t come cheap.

It can cost in the neighborhood of $500,000 a night — and that’s just for the hotel.

Biden’s one-day visit to Paris on Feb. 4 required more than 100 rooms at the five-star Hotel InterContinental Paris Le Grand.

The lodging cost taxpayers $585,000.50, according to federal contracting records that emerged Friday.

More than $580,000 was spent for a stay at the Hotel InterContinental Paris Le Grand when Vice President Biden met with French President Francois Hollande.

Then it was on to London, where Biden’s visit on Feb. 5 required “approximately 136 rooms” at another five-star hotel, the Hyatt Regency London Churchill — the closest Hyatt to the U.S. Embassy.

Total cost for those rooms: $459,338.65.

The spending was first reported by a conservative website, The Weekly Standard, which discovered the official government contract filings online, showing how much was paid for the lodging.

By Alexander Bolton – 12/31/12 08:51 PM ET

Democratic opposition to a fiscal cliff deal negotiated between Vice President Biden and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is holding up a deal to extend tax rates and postpone spending cuts.

Biden will meet with the Senate Democratic caucus at 9:15, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s office announced. The meetings comes after labor leaders, progressive groups and some Democrats have criticized the tax deal Biden negotiated.

Senate Democrats say they will not sign off on the deal because of details related to the extension of the estate tax. Biden and McConnell agreed to set the estate tax at 40 percent and exempt inheritances below $5 million.

But Senate Democrats do not want to index the estate-tax exemption to inflation, even though Republicans say Biden already agreed to the indexing.

“That’s never going to happen,” a senior Senate Democratic aide said of the Republican demand to raise the inheritance tax exemption to keep pace with inflation. The aide denied that Biden had ever agreed to indexing the level.

But Democrats are divided on the issue. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) said he supports pegging the estate tax exemption to inflation.

Republican aides familiar with the talks say Biden signed off on the deal early Monday morning in order to prevent tax hikes from hitting the middle class. With no action, most households would see their taxes rise and the estate tax would jump to 55 percent for inheritances over $1 million.

“Biden signed off on all of it last night,” said a GOP official.

A senior Democratic aide, however, countered, “that’s not true.”

President Obama in comments Monday afternoon also appeared to suggest the deal between McConnell and Biden would hold, saying the sides were close to an agreement though it was “not done yet.”

Republicans say Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has raised various last-minute objections to the deal. They say the first one came at 6 a.m. Monday when Reid balked at language relating to the automatic spending cuts known as the sequester.

The Senate went into recess subject to the call of the chair after 8 p.m. on Monday, leaving it unclear whether there would be a deal or votes in the upper chamber before midnight, when tax rates are set to expire.

A Senate Democratic aide insisted Reid has not yet signed off on what Biden negotiated.

It even appeared that Reid was not fully aware Biden and McConnell had begun substantive negotiations on Sunday as one Senate Democratic aide expressed doubt at the time that the talks were actually taking place.

Ex-CIA chief slams Biden for throwing U.S. spies under the bus during debate by ‘blaming those who put their lives on the line’ for Benghazi debacle

  • State Department officials have testified more security was requested

  • Michael Chertoff, former Homeland Security chief, joins him in scathing statement about Biden’s Benghazi claims
  • Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in attack, wrote cable warning militias could turn against U.S. on day he died

Two former intelligence chiefs today blasted Vice President Joe Biden for making the U.S. intelligence community a scapegoat for ‘the inconsistent and shifting response of the Obama Administration’.

Michael Hayden, former CIA director, and Michael Chertoff, who served as Homeland Security chief, hit out after Biden stunned many in the intelligence community by insisting that the U.S. consulate in Benghazi did not ask for additional security before it was attacked on September 11 – directly contradicting what security officials and diplomats have testified under oath.

The tough joint statement was issued via the Romney campaign. In it they added: ‘Blaming those who put their lives on the line is not the kind of leadership this country needs.’

Denial: Biden claimed that he didn’t know U.S. officials in Benghazi had asked for additional security before the consulate attack, an apparent contradiction

‘During the Vice Presidential debate, we were disappointed to see Vice President Biden blame the intelligence community for the inconsistent and shifting response of the Obama Administration to the terrorist attacks in Benghazi,’ they said in the statement.

‘Given what has emerged publicly about the intelligence available before, during, and after the September 11 attack, it is clear that any failure was not on the part of the intelligence community, but on the part of White House decision-makers who should have listened to, and acted on, available intelligence. Blaming those who put their lives on the line is not the kind of leadership this country needs.’

Hayden, a career intelligence officer and retired U.S. Air Force general, and Chertoff, a former prosecutor, both served in the Bush administration.

Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney’s vice-presidential running mate, hit out at the Obama administration’s handling of the Libya assault which killed ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
The Vice President defended the government’s handling of the crisis and denied that the State Department had turned down a request for security reinforcements in the months before the raid.

The heated debate exchange came just hours after presidential candidate Mitt Romney launched his own denunciation of Barack Obama’s response to the attack, saying the administration ‘failed to grasp the seriousness of the challenges that we face’.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Stevens himself expressed concerns about security at the facility.

Also, the head of a special operations team helping out with security asked for ‘more, not less’ reinforcements before the government pulled dozens from Libya earlier this year.

But Biden, when asked about it by debate moderator Martha Raddatz, said: ‘We weren’t told they wanted more security there.’

Ryan kept up his attack, saying: ‘There were requests for extra security – those requests were not honoured.’

He compared the situation in Libya with the heavily guarded American embassy in France as he insisted: ‘Our ambassador in Paris has a Marine detachment guarding him, shouldn’t we have a Marine detachment guarding our ambassador in Benghazi?’

Clash: The pair disagreed over many aspects of how the administration handled the crisisClash: The pair disagreed over many aspects of how the administration handled the crisis

The Vice President attempted to deflect the blame for the security failures onto Republicans in Congress, saying that Ryan’s fiscal plan ‘cut embassy security in his budget by $300million below what we asked for.’

The pair also sparred over another controversial issue connected to the Benghazi assault, as Biden again insisted that the administration initially believed the deadly raid was the result of protests over an anti-Muslim YouTube video which were sweeping the Islamic world at the time.

‘The intelligence community told us that,’ he said. ‘As they learned more facts about exactly what happened, they changed their assessment.’

But Ryan replied: ‘It took the President two weeks to acknowledge this was a terrorist attack. He went to the UN and in his speech at the UN six times talked about the YouTube video.

‘Look, if we are hit by terrorists, we are going to call it for what it is: a terrorist attack.’

Criticism: Mitt Romney also launched an attack on the President's handling of the deadly raidCriticism: Mitt Romney also launched an attack on the President’s handling of the deadly raid

Former presidential candidate Newt Gingrich predicted on Friday that Biden’s uncompromising statements would ‘haunt’ the Obama campaign ahead of next month’s election.

‘Biden on Benghazi was so wrong last night, it’s going to haunt them from now until the next debate,’ the former House speaker told CBS This Morning.

Romney also launched a blistering assault on the Obama administration’s treatment of the crisis as he spoke at a campaign rally in North Carolina.

After an Obama official suggested that the tragedy had been politicised by Republicans, the GOP candidate responded: ‘I think today we got another indication of how President Obama and his campaign fail to grasp the seriousness of the challenges that we face here in America.’

He continued: ‘Mr President, this is an issue because we were attacked successfully by terrorists on the anniversary of 9/11.

‘President Obama, this is an issue because Americans wonder why it was it took so long for you and your administration to admit that this was a terrorist attack.’

The White House today defended Biden’s comments saying what he meant to say was that the Sate Department handles security and that Obama and Biden weren’t told of the need for security.

Hours before the debate, two top security officials who had been to the consulate testified on Capitol Hill that they had made requests for more troops.

Former regional security forces officer Eric Nordstrom and Lt Col Andrew Wood, who was head of a Special Forces ‘Site Security Team’ in the country, placed blame on Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb for rejecting their requests.

‘The takeaway… for me and my staff, was abundantly clear – we were not going to get resources until the aftermath of an incident,’ Nordstrom said. ‘And the question that we would ask is: how thin does the ice have to get before someone falls through?’

‘We were fighting a losing battle,’ Wood added. ‘We couldn’t even keep what we had.’

Lamb and Patrick Kennedy, the undersecretary for management, testified that they believed the security measures in place were enough.

Attack: The four men died after riots over an anti-Islamic film stormed past the U.S. embassy in BenghaziAttack: Four U.S. citizens died in the raid on the consulate in Benghazi, including Mr Stevens

On September 11, the day he died, Stevens wrote to Washington officials detailing a dispute involving the leaders of two prominent Benghazi militias who were responsible for security in the city, according to the Daily Beast.

The two men, Wissam bin Ahmed and Muhammad al-Gharabi, claimed that the U.S. was lobbying for centrist politician Mahmoud Jibril to become Libya’s prime minister.

They said that if he won the vote, they ‘would not continue to guarantee security in Benghazi, a critical function they asserted they were currently providing,’ according to Stevens.

Despite that warning, Stevens did not ask for more U.S. troops, and commented that Benghazi officials believed the city was becoming safer.

The cable made no mention of a U.S.-made YouTube video mocking the Prophet Muhammad which was originally thought to have been the motivation for the deadly assault on the consulate later that night.

The American compound was being guarded by members of the ‘February 17 Martyrs Brigade’, a militia which shared members with the groups run by Mr bin Ahmed and Mr al-Gharabi.

It was not only Stevens who saw potential security issues cropping up in Libya before the September 11 raid.

Wood said officials felt ‘like we were being asked to play the piano with two fingers’ after a number of troops were withdrawn from Libya in August.

He told CBS This Morning that worried embassy staff had approached him to ask if they would still be safe when his team had left.

‘I could only answer that what we were being told is that they’re working on it,’ he said.

He added: ‘Shooting instances occurred, many instances involved the local security guard force that we were training.

‘Constantly, there were battles going on between militias, criminal activity and that became an increasing danger as time went on as well.’

Wood claimed that other senior officials, including Stevens, had requested a boost in the U.S. security presence, saying: ‘We felt we needed more, not less.’

Although his team was based in the city’s capital Tripoli, Wood said he would have accompanied the ambassador to Benghazi had he still been in the country.

State Department officials said that as the Site Security Team was intended to help re-open the embassy in Tripoli, their departure from Libya was irrelevant to the subsequent security situation.

They also claimed that Wood did not know the details of the situation in Benghazi, which is 400 miles from the capital.
